“Every whisper, of every waking hour, I’m choosing my confessions…” Remember last week I mentioned that Anthony Rapp sang a great cover of R.E.M.’s Losing My Religion? Well I went back into the same theatre the very next night and heard it again (over the loudspeakers before the second show, original version). It’s a song I love, and it’s certainly a tremendously popular song, so I guess it’s not that weird to hear it two days in a row. But in the same venue? I think it might just have been a Universe Radio selection coming at me, trying to catch my attention! I love that “losing my religion” is actually a southern expression for “losing your cool”, and I love that this was Anthony’s song choice for the original Rent audition panel.
